Gower Reflexology is the mobile treatment business of Sammy Jayne, a qualified reflexologist, hairdresser and nail technician working across Swansea, the Gower Peninsula and the surrounding communities of South Wales. She came to me with a single-page price list and left with a structured, search-ready website that gives each strand of her business its own space and points clearly towards the direction she wants to grow in.
Sammy Jayne has spent years building a trusted reputation as a mobile hairdresser across Swansea and Gower, particularly among elderly clients, people with limited mobility and families arranging regular visits for a relative. That reputation was earned entirely through word of mouth, personal recommendation and a phone number passed between neighbours.
Her online presence hadn’t kept pace. A single-page website listing hairdressing prices did a job, but it said nothing about who she is, how she works, or the other qualifications she had gained along the way. More importantly, it couldn’t support where she was heading. Sammy Jayne had trained and qualified in reflexology and become FHT accredited, and that was the work she wanted to build her future around.
The brief was genuinely strategic rather than cosmetic. We needed a site that honoured the hairdressing business that got her here, gave proper weight to her foot care and nail work, and put reflexology firmly at the front. That thinking carried all the way through to the name and domain: gowerreflexology.com leads with the direction of travel, while the hair services remain a full service page in their own right rather than a footnote.
Sammy Jayne needed a first proper website that could hold several distinct services without confusing the people arriving on it.
Her goals included:
I designed and built a calm, uncluttered WordPress website that treats each service as a proper destination while keeping reflexology at the centre of the story.
Key elements included:
Sammy Jayne now has a website that explains a genuinely multi-stranded business without asking visitors to work anything out for themselves. Long-standing hairdressing clients still find exactly what they need. New reflexology enquiries arrive with a clear understanding of what the treatment involves, what it costs and where she travels. Families researching care for an elderly relative reach a page written specifically for them.
Just as importantly, the site is deliberately low-maintenance. It holds the detail so social media can do the day-to-day talking, and it’s built flexibly enough that when the balance of her services shifts further towards reflexology, the structure can shift with it rather than needing to be rebuilt.
A first website that works as a strong foundation, not a ceiling.
