Consultations & Training
One-to-one time with me, so you leave knowing exactly how to do it or exactly what to do next.
Sometimes you need showing. Sometimes you need thinking through.
Training calls are hands-on. We share screens and I walk you through your own Canva designs or your own WordPress site until you can do it without me.
Consultation calls are hands-off. We talk through an idea, a problem or a plan, and you leave with a clear direction rather than a to-do list you don’t understand.
Not sure which you need? Start with a free 15-minute chat and I’ll point you at the right one. All paid sessions take place on Zoom or Google Meet, and are paid for at the time of booking.
A relaxed 15 minutes to talk about your project and work out whether I’m the right person for it.
This is a conversation, not a sales pitch. If what you need is a quick pointer rather than a paid session, I’ll tell you. If you’d be better served by someone else, I’ll tell you that too.
How it works: Pick a date and time, answer a couple of quick questions, and I’ll call you on WhatsApp at the agreed time. Prefer a normal phone call? Just say so on the form.
This one is for scoping a project. If you already know what you need help with, book one of the paid sessions below instead, where we can actually get into it.
Learn to do it yourself, with a bit of hand-holding
Want to know how to do something specific in Canva, get more out of your templates, or build something yourself with someone watching over your shoulder? That’s what these are for. A bit of Canva fairy dust, sprinkled on your own designs.
Bring your actual files. We share screens, I show you how, and you do it while I’m there to catch you.
How it works: Pay to book, then you’ll be emailed a link to choose your date and time, plus a short questionnaire where you can share links or screenshots of what you’re stuck on. On the day, I’ll send your Zoom or Google Meet link.

One clear question or one design sorted. Perfect for “how do I actually do this bit?”

Room to work through several issues, or to be properly taught a technique rather than just shown it once.
Stop being frightened of your own website
Adding a blog post, swapping an image, updating your prices, editing an Elementor section, making a booking form behave. None of it is hard once someone shows you, and all of it is horrible when you’re guessing.
We work on your site, not a demo one, so what you learn transfers the moment we hang up.
How it works: Pay to book, then choose your date and time and fill in the questionnaire so I know what we’re tackling. Have your login details to hand for the call.
Need the job doing rather than learning to do it? That’s Tech Support Hours.

One task, learned properly. Good for a single recurring job you’d rather not keep asking me to do.

A proper walkthrough. Several tasks, or the confidence to manage your site’s day-to-day yourself.
For when you have an idea and no idea whether it’s possible.
You bring the idea, half-formed is fine, and we open it up together. Would a membership area work better than a course platform? Is there a plugin that does this, and is it any good? How would bookings, payments and reminders fit together? What could you post to launch it? Could this run as a class instead?
This is for you if:
You’ll leave with: a clear sense of what’s possible, what it would take, and two or three routes you could take. Plus shared notes from the call.
For when the site already exists and isn’t doing its job.
We look at what your visitor actually experiences: how they move through the site, what’s stopping them acting, what your pages are and aren’t telling Google, and where the gap sits between where you are and where you want to be. Then we work out the order to tackle it in.
This is for you if:
You’ll leave with: a prioritised action plan, sent to you in writing within two working days, so you know exactly what to do first, second and third.
Want showing how? → Canva or WordPress Training
Want to explore an idea? → Brainstorming Call
Want a plan for the site you already have? → Strategy Call
Want me to just do it? → Tech Support Hours
Still stuck? → Book a free quick chat and I’ll tell you.
Consultation and training calls are dedicated, prepared-for time with a written or taught outcome. Tech support hours are for me getting on with tasks you’ve already decided on.
I was totally overwhelmed trying to manage my WordPress site, and had messed it up again when trying to update it, but after my 1:1 training with Kate, everything just clicked. She explained everything in such a clear and patient way, and I left feeling confident to handle more updates and changes myself. It was so helpful that I booked a 1:1 Canva training session too, and she showed me now I can create my own branded graphics with ease. Kate’s support has been invaluable and I feel really proud of myself every time I do something myself and it works.
Both run 60 minutes, but they answer different questions. A Brainstorming Call answers “could this work?”- you bring an idea, and we explore whether it’s possible, which tools or plugins could deliver it, and what your options are. A Strategy Call answers “how do I get there?” – you bring a website that already exists and a goal you’ve already chosen, and we look at the user experience, the design and the SEO to build a prioritised plan. Brainstorming opens up options. Strategy narrows them down.
Book the free 15-minute Quick Chat. Tell me what you’re struggling with and I’ll point you at the right session. I’d rather you booked the correct call than the expensive one.
No. It’s 15 minutes to see whether we’re a good fit and whether I’m the right person for your project. If you’d be better served elsewhere, I’ll say so.
A training call teaches you to do the job yourself on your own site. Tech Support Hours are for when you’d rather I did it for you. If you’re going to need the same task done every month, training usually pays for itself.
The free Quick Chat happens on WhatsApp or by phone, whichever you prefer. All paid sessions are on Zoom or Google Meet so we can share screens, which matters enormously for training calls.
Not at all. These sessions are designed for business owners, not developers. We work at your pace, on your own site or designs, and no question is too basic.
Strategy Calls include a written prioritised action plan sent within three working days. Brainstorming Calls include shared notes from the session. For training calls I’d recommend recording the session so you can rewatch the steps.
We’ll prioritise at the start so the most important thing gets covered first. If there’s more to do, you can book another session or move to Tech Support Hours.
Paid sessions are paid by card at the time of booking. You’ll then receive a link to choose your date and time, plus a short questionnaire so we can get straight to work on the call.
Brainstorming and Strategy Calls are thinking sessions, not doing sessions. If you want hands-on changes made, book a training call to learn how, or Tech Support Hours for me to do it.
