If you haven’t already met me, I’m Kate, Chief Everything Officer of Kate Fordy Designs, who helps busy professionals to create the look that they want in their businesses through websites, social media images and more.
Lover of dogs, cats, horses, oh, ok…all animals, mum of one, forever a thalassophile, tree-hugger, messy acrylic painter, slightly psychic, introvert and yet serially chatty person, lit up by night sky viewing, sunrises, sunsets, marshmallow toasting on a little twig fire, overthinker, constatnly trying to keep up with my brain, caring and often trying to prove a point to myself.
I was actually a fitness professional (shhh don’t tell anyone!) for 20 years but my passion for graphics and design started taking over in 2014 and I haven’t looked back.
Due to my background in exercise for people with medical conditions and Women’s Health & Fitness alongside my love of graphics and web design, I bring a unique and practical mix of skills to each project that I work on.
I help Health & Fitness Trainers, wellness practitioners, beauty therapists and other holistic small businesses get their message out in their style, by creating web designs and graphics that will attract their perfect future client. Let’s get to know each other.
I LOVE creating images, and I know what it feels like to try to be balancing training people, developing new content and keeping up with the admin of running your business, and to feel REALLY under pressure to create new and interesting visual content to spread your message on your social media accounts and beyond in this world of never-ending internet presence.
I truly want to make your life easier so that you can get on with doing what you are best at.
So, how did Kate Fordy Designs begin? Basically, I learnt HTML coding to write websites back in the 90’s as something to do for fun and as time has progressed, I got really into using graphic design software, and then got to utilise these talents as the internet has boomed, and as I was working online with my fitness business. I ended up helping out some other health professionals who were feeling stuck with their images….and then it struck me, that it may be really useful if I could do this for other health professionals to use on their social media streams and websites. Basically, I have done what I would have liked someone to have done for me, to save me time and a LOT of faffing around learning how to use computer packages to create great images.
I’ve been where you are, trying to do everything and it saps your energy. Let me do some of the heavy lifting so you can get on with your client workload and be more efficient together.
I like to keep things simple and effective. I’m not in to fussy designs or convoluted routes to where you need people to get to.
I’ve lived stress, and I don’t want that and I don’t want that for any of my clients, so I try to make even technical issues as stree free as possible.
It is COMPLETELY POSSIBLE for you to learn how to be in control of your website and graphics despite everyone saying you need a professional to do it for you.
